ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee fell by 95 paisas, against the US dollar in the inter-bank trading on Thursday and closed at Rs 176.42 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 175.47.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at Rs 176.5 and Rs 178 respectively.
Similarly, the price of the euro was appreciated by 88 paisas and closed at Rs 199.57 against the last day’s trading of Rs 198.69, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen gained one paisa to close at Rs 1.55, whereas an increase of 62 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs 234.35 as compared to its last closing of Rs 233.73.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 25 paisas each to close at Rs 48.03 and Rs 47.02 respectively.
