STZA, EO ink MoU to promote digital business

LAHORE: Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) and Entrepreneurs’ Organization Islamabad Chapter (EO) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to make joint efforts to establish digital businesses in Special Technology Zones.

The signing ceremony was held at a local hotel on Thursday. The event was attended by a delegation of EO Islamabad comprising of President Habil Ahmed Khan, Issam Baig, Sufian Munir. Junaid Nasib, Walid Mushtaq and Dr. Hirra Butt. The delegation of STZA was led by Chairman Amer Hashmi and team comprising of Hina Nasir and Atif Bilal.

The event started with a brief introduction of STZA by the event moderator Warda Malik from STZA. The President of EO Habil Ahmed Khan gave introduction of EO Islamabad and its core values. He acknowledged the efforts made by STZA in creating a technology-driven knowledge ecosystem and digital business. His keynote speech was followed by an introduction of the STZA by Chairman Amer Hashmi. He briefed the attendees about the endeavors of STZA and the fiscal benefits provided to establish businesses in Special Technology Zones.

He further elaborated that the Authority aims to build knowledge ecosystems that will harness Pakistan’s tech potential and set the country on the trajectory of an entrepreneurial, innovative, and tech-driven future for shared prosperity and inclusive growth. The keynote speeches were followed by signing of the MoU.

The event concluded with a Q&A session between the attendees and EO Islamabad President and Chairman STZA.
