Ten villagers injured in a toy bomb blast

LARKANA: Ten villagers including two women and five children on Sunday were injured in a toy bomb explosion in a house of village Tayyab Mallah, Katcha area of the district, in the limits of Veehar Police Station.

The police said that children were playing and swimming in the right bank of River Indus near the village, where they found an explosive device or toy bomb.

The children took the device/bomb to a nearby house in Mor Mallah and started playing with it where it suddenly exploded, seriously injuring 10 villagers including two women and five children, the police said.

The villagers on self help basis shifted the injured to CMC Hospital Larkana.

The injured have been identified as Tayyab Mallah, MST. Zarina Khatoon, Bibi Mallah (11), Nisar Ahmed(13), Mehboob Mallah(18), Shahzado Mallah(23), Mst. Nadeem Khatoon, Payaro(10) and a 9 months old baby boy Kamran Mallah, the police said , adding that soon after the bloody explosion, rescue teams including bomb disposal squad led by SSP Larkana reached the spot of the incident .

The Veehar Police registered a case and started investigations.
