DIKHAN::Three armed robbers Saturday entered the Allied Bank, Shiekh Yousaf Adda branch and took away Rs 4,218,000 money at gunpoint, police said.
According to a report lodged by the Bank Manager with Cantt Police Station, three robbers forcibly entered the bank premises and thrashed the security guards. When security guard resisted, they opened fire and seriously injured three security guards.
The robbers entered the cash room, make hostage the cashier and snatched Rs 4,218,000. They also snatched a repeater shotgun from the security guard and started firing to scare the staff. Afterwards they managed to flee the scene.
Police have registered a case against three unknown robbers and started investigation.
