RAWALPINDI: Police have busted an online betting racket and arrested 05 gamblers allegedly placing bets on Pak-India cricket matches apart from World Cup cricket matches.
The gamblers also bet on horse races, 06 mobile phones, 02 computers and laptop registers were seized from their possession.
Police have also recovered Rs 22,500 from their custody.
Waris Khan police arrested 05 bookies who were gambling online on a Pak-India cricket match were identified as Kamran alias Kami Mota, Muhammad Ali, Akbar, Moeed and Malik Anwar.
SP Rawal Faisal Saleem appreciated the police team and said that legal action has been initiated against the accused and the arrested accused will be challaned with solid evidence.
