GUJRAT: The scrutiny committee constituted under the Punjab Protection of Ownership of Immovable Property Act reviewed 10 property dispute cases from Gujrat, Kharian and Sara-i-Alamgir tehsils at a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Ahmad Haroon.
According to an official source, Assistant Commissioner Gujrat Abdul Qadir Zarkoon, Additional Assistant Commissioner Sohail Khan and officials of the revenue department and other relevant departments attended the meeting.
The committee heard all 10 cases individually and examined the revenue record, available evidence and investigation findings before preparing recommendations for the relevant tribunal. Seven cases were recommended for further proceedings, while the parties concerned in the remaining three cases were absent.
The meeting was informed that the cases would be forwarded to the relevant tribunal within 30 days for further proceedings. The tribunal would decide each case in accordance with the law and available evidence.
