Sargodha: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Sargodha Circle task force teams caught 15 power pilferers and registered 29 cases during the ongoing drive against electricity theft.
According to a spokesperson on Friday, raiding teams, acting on the directions of the Superintending Engineer, conducted surprise inspections across various localities of the circle to apprehend violators.
He informed that during the last 24 hours, authorities caught one pilferer in the district, booked three consumers in the Shahpur area, and arrested five power thieves red-handed while stealing electricity through main power lines and meter tampering.
The spokesman added that strict action, including heavy detection bills and legal proceedings, would continue across the circle without discrimination to eliminate power pilferage.
