Mansehra: A woman has died while a girl remains missing after the two were swept away by a fast-flowing rainwater drain on Akbar Khan Road following heavy rainfall in Mansehra last night.
According to Rescue 1122, the woman’s body was recovered following the incident, while the girl could not be located.
Upon receiving information, Rescue 1122 teams and police immediately launched a search operation. The operation continued until late at night but was suspended due to darkness.
On the directions of District Emergency Officer Mansehra Abrar Ali, the search and rescue operation was resumed early in the morning. Rescue 1122 teams are conducting an extensive search along the drain and have extended the operation further towards Lari Adda.
The District Emergency Officer is personally supervising the search operation, while rescue and police personnel are using all available resources to locate the missing girl
