SIALKOT: Two-day trials were held here on Thursday and Friday in connection with the ‘Talent Hunt Youth Sports Football League’, under the Prime Minister’s youth programme.
A total of 450 boys and more than 150 girls appeared for trials at the Government Jinnah Islamia College ground.
Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Adnan Mehmood Awan and Senior Parliamentarian Muhammad Manshaullah Butt attended the event as special guests.
Muhammad Manshaullah thanked the district administration Sialkot for successful conduct of the Prime Minister’s Talent Hunt programme and said development of sports would promote positive trends in society and players would brighten the name of the country and the nation at international level.
Former mayor Tauheed Akhtar, District Sports Officer Iftikhar Gondal, Chaudhry Muhammad Ikram, Begum Gulnaz Shujaat, Rana Waheed, Principal Government Jinnah Islamia College Syed Mujahid Bukhari were among the officials organising the trials. Twenty each boys and girls were selected to participate in the talent hunt trials.
