21 motorcyclists held involved in one-wheeling in Quetta

Quetta: At least 21 motorcyclists were arrested involved in one-wheeling in Quetta under supervision of Assistant Commissioner (AC) on Friday.



On the special directives of Deputy Commissioner Quetta West, Muneer Ahmed Durrani, the district administration of Quetta West took action against “one-wheeling” (performing wheelies) on Link Shahwani Road.



In this regard, the administration and police, under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner (Brewery) Kashif Amar, conducted a joint operation and arrested 21 individuals involved in one-wheeling.



The SHOs of Hazara Town, Shalkot, and Kechi Baig police stations participated in this operation.



According to officials, citizens passing through Link Shahwani Road on Friday were facing severe difficulties due to the one-wheeling activity, furthermore, residents of nearby areas had lodged complaints regarding the practice and the problems it caused.



As such activities frequently lead to accidents that endanger citizens’ lives, the administration took immediate action, in light of public complaints and the need for public safety to arrest those involved.



The administration maintained that one-wheeling is a dangerous practice, operations against one-wheeling and other forms of dangerous driving on public roads would continue in the future.
