Quetta: District administration Quetta on Monday launched massive operation against encroachments on Airport Road and arrested 22 people who were shifted to jail.
According to details, in the light of the orders of Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini, action was taken against illegal encroachments established above the drain on Airport Road.
Due to encroachments, the water of the drain was blocked and flowing on the road, causing severe difficulties for the public.
Special Magistrate Haseeb Sardar took action and arrested 22 people who occupied the drain and transferred them to jail.
The district administration said that any kind of encroachment on Airport Road would not be tolerated under any circumstances, strict legal action would continue without discrimination against those who occupy drains and block the water path.
