Quetta: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Balochistan leaders on Monday said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto gave political awareness to the common man across the country, including Balochistan.
They said that he laid the foundation for eradicating ignorance and poverty by spreading education; those who dream of abolishing the People’s Party would never succeed in their nefarious goals.
These views were expressed by PPP central leaders Sardar Sarbuland Jogezai, Rabbani Khilji, Shahzad Kakar, Malik Zeeshan Hussain, Nadeem Ahmed Khan and others while addressing a ceremony held on the occasion of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s birthday at the PPP Media Cell.
On this occasion, a cake was also cut for the birthday of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
They paid tribute to Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto on his 97th birthday and said that Shaheed Bhutto sacrificed himself and his family for democracy, but did not compromise on principles.
The PPP leaders said that Shaheed was the first leader who declared the people as the s
ource of power and laid the foundation of such a democratic ideological party. This is the reason why the party has settled in the hearts of the poor people today.
He said that by giving the 1973 Constitution, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto raised the prestige of Pakistan in the world. The martyr was a great leader of the Islamic world who united the Islamic biosphere.
They mentioned that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto made Pakistan a nuclear power, Shaheed Bhutto strengthened Pakistan’s institutions and gave minorities their rights.
Speakers said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was a people’s leader of Pakistan. Shaheed Bhutto made the people the source of power and gave them the power to vote.
They said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto gave farmers and workers their rights and Shaheed Bhutto can never be removed from the hearts of the people.
They noted that the PPP has fought and is fighting against the anti-Bhutto forces to date, the PPP would never compromise on principles while following the footsteps of Shaheed Bhutto.
