KOHISTAN: At least three persons died and two others sustained critical injuries when a motor vehicle fell into deep gorge near Nala Patan Galgan in Lower Kohistan.
According Kohistan Lower police sources, a car No. AL-1096 which was coming from Swat met with an accident at Nala Patan Galgan in Lower Kohistan when driver lost control, as a result the car plunged into a deep ravine.
District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Sajid Ali dispatched ambulances along with medical and disaster response teams to the accident place.
Rescue 1122, along with the assistance of local police and residents, conducted rescue operations and managed to save five persons from the accident. However, the accident resulted in the loss of three lives, while two individuals sustained injuries.
The deceased were identified as Saeed Anwar, Sher Muhammad, and Anayat, residents of Shangla, Diamer, and Dir Lower respectively. Meanwhile, the injured persons including Shaukat Ali and Shah Jahan, residents of Swat and Bhasha, were transferr
ed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Patan, for further medical treatment.
Following medical advice, the two severely injured persons were transferred to Swat in the Lower Kohistan Rescue 1122 ambulance for further medical care.
