Multan: At least three passengers were seriously injured when a speeding APV van collided with a rickshaw after one of its tyres burst near Adda 9 Kassi on Vehari road, Multan on Saturday. According to Rescue 1122, control room received an emergency call regarding the road accident, following which rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Rescue officials said the APV van was travelling from Vehari towards Multan when its tyre burst, causing the driver to lose control and crash into the passenger rickshaw. The three rickshaw passengers sustained serious injuries. They were identified as Muhammad Sajjad, s/o Abdul Majeed, Muhammad Sajjad, s/o Muhammad Yaqoob and Muhammad Yousaf, s/o Muhammad Rafiq.
Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured at the scene and shifted them to Nishtar hospital Multan for further medical treatment.
Police concerned were also informed about the incident.
