Multan: As many as 37 development projects with a total estimated cost of Rs5.049 billion are under progress in Multan division.
According to details, approval has already been granted for 33 development projects, while four projects are currently at different stages of approval.
The Divisional Development Working Party, headed by Commissioner Multan Division Amir Karim Khan, approved six development projects with a combined estimated cost of Rs1,395.417 million. These included four projects in Multan, one in Khanewal and one in Vehari.
Another 27 development projects, costing Rs1,272.242 million, were approved through the respective District Development Committees.
District-wise, the Deputy Commissioner Multan approved eight projects worth Rs495 million, while the Deputy Commissioner Khanewal approved eight projects with an estimated cost of Rs359.379 million.
Similarly, the Deputy Commissioner Vehari approved five development projects worth Rs208.793 million, while the Deputy Commissioner Lodhran approved six projects costing Rs209.070 million.
The remaining four projects are still in the approval process. Of these, one is under consideration by the Divisional Development Working Party, while three are at the Departmental Development Committee stage.
In line with the Punjab government’s directions, the approval and completion process of the development projects is being carried forward according to the prescribed timelines.
