Islamabad: At least four policemen were martyred when a powerful IED blast hit their vehicle, which was on routine patrolling in Gomal police station of Tank District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday afternoon.
According to details, the vehicle was on routine patrol when it fell victim to the attack, leaving four cops dead on the spot, private news channels reported. A massive security operation is underway while police officials have sealed off the area.
Police officials added that they had cordoned off the area and started searching for the accused, adding, martyred policemen have been shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.
