Lahore: An awareness campaign is underway in the name of Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) about fake e-challan websites and fake SMS.
According to the spokesperson of the Safe Cities Authority, SMS related to e-challans are received only from the authentic number 8070. The Safe City spokesperson said that citizens should use the Safe City website echallan.psca.gop.pk or the Public Safety App to verify the e-challan.
Safe City never asks for cash, account or bank details through SMS, Safe City does not ask for any type of card number, PIN code or security code from citizens.
The Safe City spokesperson said that citizens should immediately contact the Emergency Helpline 15 or FIA Cyber Wing if they receive suspicious or fake messages.
Citizens should never pay attention on any suspicious message or website. All Safe City services are completely free for citizens.
The Safe City spokesperson said that Safe City is taking legal action against all such fake websites and fake numbers.
