Sukkur: The Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) and Sukkur Divisional Administration on Monday organized a stakeholders’ awareness program on improving healthcare standards and combating quackery. The event was attended by Commissioner Sukkur Abid Saleem Qureshi, DIG Faisal Abdullah Chachar, CEO SHCC Dr. Ahsan Qavi Siddiqui, and other officials.
Speaking at the event, Commissioner Sukkur emphasized the importance of taking strict action against quackery and substandard medical practices, which pose a threat to public health. DIG Chachar assured full police support to SHCC in combating illegal medical practices.
SHCC CEO Dr Siddiqui briefed the gathering on the commission’s efforts to improve healthcare standards and eliminate quackery.
He stated that from 2018 to 2025, 12,048 illegal clinics, hospitals, and quack centers have been sealed and 8,399 have been issued warnings.
The event aimed to raise awareness about healthcare standards, patient rights, and infection control measures. Participants pledged to work together to provide quality healthcare services and combat quackery in Sukkur Division.
