SARGODHA:Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Ahmad Mughees directed field officers to intensify price checks, curb wheat smuggling and accelerate anti-encroachment operations to provide relief to the public.
He issued these directions while chairing a meeting on the price control mechanism, attended by price control magistrates and other field officers.
The ADC directed officials to regularly inspect prices of essential commodities in markets and take immediate action against shopkeepers violating official price lists and indulging in overcharging.
He also called for effective monitoring to prevent the illegal transportation and smuggling of wheat, directing the relevant authorities to ensure legal action against violators.
Emphasising the need to address public difficulties, he further instructed officials to accelerate operations against encroachments and take effective measures to ensure convenience for citizens.
