Dera ismail khan: An Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) jirga was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Upper Irfan Ali Khan to discuss the peaceful resolution of local disputes and community issues.
Local elders, tribal notables, jirga members and relevant officials attended the jirga.
Various public and mutual disputes, local issues and matters related to their resolution through mutual consultation and consensus were discussed in detail.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Irfan Ali Khan said the ADR mechanism and traditional jirga system could play an important role in resolving disputes through mutual agreement and promoting peace and harmony in society.
He directed the concerned officials and jirga members to make effective efforts for the amicable resolution of disputes while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and the prescribed procedure.
