HYDERABAD:The newly posted Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hyderabad, Amjad Ahmed Shaikh, assumed the charge of his office as 147th SSP of the district here on Monday, replacing the outgoing SSP Sajid Amir Suddozai.
The police spokesman informed here on Monday evening that a guard of honour was also given to Shaikh, who has been posted in Hyderabad for the third time as the district’s SSP.
He was earlier posted as the SSP Hyderabad on July 4, 2022, and on February 25, 2017.
He has also headed the police in the neighbouring Jamshoro and Matiari districts at different times since 2014 to 2020.
The SSP later held an introductory meeting with the police officers and staff at his office.
Shaikh was earlier posted as SSP Kashmore-Kandhkot district where his policing remained perpetually challenged by the dacoits taking refuge in the thick forest and riverbed areas.
