ANF arrests four smugglers, recovers 2 ton drugs

ISLAMABAD:Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Monday arrested four smugglers while recovering more than two drugs worth millions of rupees, in a special raid.

The operation was carried out on Northern By-Pass near, Mengal Abad Quetta on information from ANF intelligence when the smugglers were trying to smuggle drugs in a loaded truck from across the border.

ANF officials recovered two thousand three hundred, thirty Kilogram charas which were hidden in secret chambers of a cement mixture machine, installed on a truck.

Another vehicle along with a truck was also taken into custody in which two people were escorting the truck for clearance at the check posts, however, the ANF officials arrested all four accused belonging from Qilla Abdullah, Quetta and Chaman.

The accused were trying to smuggle drugs into interior Sindh via Chaman but they were caught red-handed and a case under the Anti-Narcotics Act was registered.
