MULTAN: A birthday celebration for President Asif Ali Zardari, was organized by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) South Punjab here on Thursday. Cake cutting ceremonies were organized by local leadership of the party.
A cake was cut at a local hotel by Rao Sajid Ali, General Secretary of PPP Multan District, under the chairmanship of Senior Vice President PPP South Punjab, Khawaja Rizwan Alam.
The event was attended by Senator Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan, former MPA Syed Ahmed Mujtaba Gilani, MPA Rana Iqbal Siraj, City President Malik Naseem Labar, City General Secretary A.D. Khan Baloch and others.
In a joint statement, the speakers praised President Asif Ali Zardari’s wise politics, acknowledging him as the leading leader among today’s politicians.
They highlighted his astuteness and deep political understanding, calling him the most towering political figure in Pakistan.
They extended heartfelt congratulations to him, his son Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, his daughters MNA Asifa Bhutto Zardari and Bakhtawar
Bhutto Zardari, and all party members.
The speakers compared President Asif Ali Zardari’s role in Pakistani democracy to that of Nelson Mandela in African democracy.
They further emphasized that President Zardari has always prioritized the strengthening of democratic institutions in Pakistan over personal gain. They urged the immediate implementation of the economic charter proposed by President Zardari to improve the economic situation of the country and control inflation and unemployment.
