Lahore: The Punjab government’s Apni Chhat Apna Ghar program is playing a significant role in changing the lives of thousands of families across the province.
More than 64,000 houses have been completed under this project so far, freeing the deserving people from tenancy and uncertainty.
According to a spokesperson for the Housing Department, 121,480 loans have been disbursed in the first installment under the program, while the second installment will be provided to 21,390 families soon.
In addition, 18,240 newly approved loans will also be disbursed in the coming days.
The spokesperson said that Rs 5.53 billion has been recovered under the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar program so far and the project is being implemented in a transparent, fast and effective manner.
The process of construction of houses is going on rapidly in both urban and rural areas so that maximum deserving families can benefit.
According to the Housing Department, offices have been established throughout the province for easy access to deserving individuals, while the online application process has also been kept very simple and easy.
