Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Central Information Secretary and Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has congratulated the people of Bahawalpur and the party leadership on the PML-N’s electoral victory, saying the result reflected public confidence in the party’s performance and development agenda.
In a statement here on Monday, she thanked Allah, The Almighty, for granting victory to the PML-N and expressed gratitude to the people of Bahawalpur for reposing their trust in the party.
She said that Bahawalpur had voted for PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and for the performance of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
‘Bahawalpur has voted for Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Green Bus, Suthra Punjab and Green Punjab initiatives, as well as the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ programme,’ she said.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said people had also endorsed the government’s development initiatives, including the construction of a 50,000-kilometre road network, improvements in the healthcare system, Clinics on Wheels, free medicines and treatment, Maryam Nawaz Field Hospitals and Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics.
She said people of Bahawalpur had also voted for measures aimed at improving children’s education, including the provision of free meals in schools, as well as the government’s efforts to maintain peace in Punjab.
‘Bahawalpur has voted for Punjab’s historic development programme, public service and development projects,’ she said.
The senior minister said people of Bahawalpur knew that the PML-N was the only party capable of ensuring the fulfilment of its promises.
‘The decision of Bahawalpur is in favour of the PML-N’s performance and reflects confidence in its politics of public service,’ she added.
