Karachi: Keamari District Police on Tuesday thwarted an attempt to smuggle over 31 maunds of dry milk, worth millions of rupees.
A high-roof vehicle loaded with smuggled dry milk was intercepted near Siemens Chowrangi in the Site Area, said a spokesperson of police.
From the intercepted high-roof vehicle, 50 sacks weighing a total of 1,250 kilograms of smuggled dry milk were recovered.
The accused involved in the alleged smuggling, identified as Faiz Rehman, son of Tuti, has been arrested.
The arrested accused, along with the confiscated goods and vehicle, will be handed over to Customs after completion of legal formalities.
