Faisalabad: Nishatabad police have traced a blind murder case and arrested two accused involved in the killing of a local resident.
Police spokesman said here on Thursday that Muhammad Shehzad resident of Chak 48-JB was shot dead under mysterious circumstances some time ago.
On special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar, SHO Nishatabad Inspector Sajid Mahmood utilized technical and investigative resources to trace and arrest the accused identified as Owais and Shah Zain.
During initial interrogation, the accused confessed to the offence and revealed that the murder was committed due to personal enmity as the deceased reportedly had illicit relations with the mother of accused Owais.
The police locked the accused behind bars while further investigation was under progress, he added.
