Mirpur: Students of AKAB School for the Blind, Mirpur, have achieved 100 percent success in the ninth-grade annual examinations conducted by the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Mirpur, demonstrating outstanding academic performance, it was officially said.
According to the results released by the AJK BISE , Ansa Rabbani secured 497 marks out of 600, followed by Tooba with 460, Ammar Aslam 448, Amina Haq 428, Haseeb Jahangir 385, Noor-ul-Ain 375, Farhan Zaheer 368, Talha Mahmood 309 and Atiq Jahangir 385 marks.
AKAB School’s blind Patron-in-Chief Professor Muhammad Ilyas Ayub said the achievement of visually impaired students was a source of pride and joy for the entire AKAB family. He said special children possessed immense potential that could be further developed through love, confidence, proper guidance and equal opportunities.
He said the prayers and support of parents, dedication of teachers and hard work of students had played a key role in the success. He also thanked philanthropists supporting the school, saying their contribution was helping build a brighter future for visually impaired children.
Professor Ilyas said AKAB would continue providing visually impaired children with quality education, access to modern technology and opportunities to live dignified and independent lives. The school administration also congratulated the successful students, their parents and teachers, saying the 100 percent result reflected the students’ hard work and teachers’ tireless efforts.
It may be added that the only blind School for the Blind, in Mirpur, provides quality education, training and opportunities for independence to visually impaired children, besides introducing them to modern education and technology. The institution also provides a conducive learning environment, accommodation, food and other essential facilities.
