Mirpur (ajk): In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Veteran Kashmiri Human Rights Activist, Muhammad Ahsaan Untoo, has visited the residence of Shakeel Bakshi , Showkat Bakshi and their other family members in occupied Srinagar for condolences on the sad demise of their father Bakshi Gulam Muhmmad.

Sacrifices of Bakshi' family were almost comprising lives' sacrifices for Kashmir freedom moment to get motherland freed from Indian yoke, said a report received from across the Line of Control (LoC).

"Shakeel was in Jail custody for life. Unidentified Gunman firing on Shakeel Bakshi in the year 2019 . Shakeel Bakshi is presently supremo of Islamic students league in IIOJK. Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi is vice chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front He has also sacrificed half life in Jail custody and faced Hundred cases in Jammu Kashmir courts", the report added.

" Shariq Bakshi sacrifices his life for Kashmir moment, year 2015, No one can challenge the family pro movement sacrifices till date", Untoo said on this occasion.

Muhammad Ahsaan Untoo also visited the residence of Farooq Ahmad Sodagar and expressed deep shock and solidarity with their whole family on the demise of Farooq Sahabs' mother .Farooq Ahmad Sodagar sahab and his whole family is very loyal to Mirwaiz e Kashmir and devoted whole life for the noble cause", Untoo said on this occasion, the report added.

Kohat: Under the public agenda of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister, the Food Department (FD) has launched a campaign in the district to ensure affordable and quality food items to the people during Ramazan.

Director Food, Musarat Zaman, District Food Controller, Gulab Gul Khan held a detailed meeting with traders and related businessmen. In the meeting, discussions were held on controlling factors like artificial inflation, hoarding and illegal profiteering during the holy month to provide relief to the people.

Special consultations were also held with the presidents of grocery stores, bakers, butchers, and poultry vendors to ensure the availability of all essential items at reasonable prices.

Hyderabad: Former Senator and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Malik Imam ud Din Shoqeen emphasized that the youth is the future of the country and could play a vital role in overcoming economic challenges.

He expressed this as the chief guest at the inauguration of a solar system at Government New Aligarh Postgraduate College, Tando Adam.

During the event, students who performed their best in the Sindh College Games and intra-class competitions were awarded trophies and medals. In their speeches, students expressed gratitude to the chief guest for the installation of the solar system, which would provide much-needed facilities.

Principal Professor Muhammad Mubeen Wasan and others lauded Shoqeen's contributions. They stated that he was a valuable asset to the people of Tando Adam, serving the community selflessly. The college administration presented him with an honorary shield and a traditional Ajrak as a token of appreciation.

In his speech, Malik Imam ud Din Shoqeen expressed gratitude and stated that he was undertaking these initiatives for the pleasure of Allah. He vowed to continue supporting the institution whenever needed. He advised students to respect their teachers and parents to achieve success. Later, he planted a tree in the college premises.

Sargodha: The anti-corruption establishment (ACE) Sargodha region has arrested an official of the Provincial Ombudsman Punjab Sargodha region after solid evidence was found regarding his involvement in corrupt practices.

A citizen, Nadeem Akhtar, had complained to ACE Assistant Director Tasawwar Basal that a clerk of Provincial Ombudsman Sargodha region, Saddam Hussain, had received Rs. 2 lakh as bribe from him and his sister to settle their legal domestic matter. He stated in his application that the official was demanding Rs. 2 lakh more in this regard.

The ACE assistant director conducted a raid, along with Civil Judge Hafiz Muhammad Toufail, and caught the official red handed receiving the bribe amount.

Mirpur (ajk): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister, Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq has conducted a detailed inspection visit to AJK's longest over Rs 9.00 billion under construction Mirpur-Islamgarh bridges being built on Mangla dam reservoir in the district under the Mangla Dam Raising Project.

Project Director, Rathua Haryam Bridge, Muhammad Habib Mughal, on the occasion, briefed the PM of the on the progress of the construction work .

Prime Minister, Haq directed the authorities concerned to accomplish the project within the stipulated timeframe.

He said that delay in completion of the project would not be tolerated.

The PM said that timely provision of funds would be ensured on priority.

While addressing people present at the occasion, the PM expressed his satisfaction over the pace and quality of work on the project .

The prime minister also praised FWO for its significant contribution in infrastructure development works including construction of roads, bridges, and highways all across the country.

He also thanked the DG, FWO, for his keen interest in this project that had been pending for the past several years.

He said that people of the area had suffered a lot due to non-completion of the project.

Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq said that work on the project was going on under the supervision of Minister for Public Works, Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, adding "The progress of the bridge is also being monitored by the Cabinet members and other relevant authorities ".

He also praised the construction company for introducing a new trend by putting all information regarding the progress of the project online.

Senior Minister Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmed Noor, Minister for Public Works and Communications, Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, Minister for Housing and Physical Planning, Chaudhry Yasir Sultan, Special Assistant, Ms. Nabila Ayub, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister Colonel (retd) Muhammad Maroof Khan, Chief Engineer Mahmood Mumtaz Rathore, Commissioner Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain and others were also present on this occasion.

Larkana: Shah Latif University Khairpur was conducted the entrance test for Bechlor of Science programs in BS Commerce and BS English held at the Government Arts and Commerce College Larkana (affiliated College) in the college's auditorium hall.

On this occasion, Director General of Colleges Sindh Dr. Naveed Rab Siddiqui, Regional Director of Colleges Larkana Professor Altaf Hussain Abro and other officials reviewed the ongoing test and praised the overall procedure and environment of the test.
