Karachi:Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori on Thursday visited the Palestinian Embassy in Islamabad, where he was warmly received by Palestinian Ambassador Zuhair M.H. Darzaid and other diplomatic staff.

The Governor also presented a bouquet and sweets to the ambassador and greeted the Ambassador on the ceasefire agreement.

According to the Governor House spokesman, Kamran Tessori expressed optimism, stating that the ceasefire had sparked hope for peace in the region. He acknowledged the hardships endured by the Palestinian people and expressed the hope for their rehabilitation. He reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering diplomatic, moral, and political support for Palestine.

The Governor Sindh also extended an invitation to the Palestinian Ambassador to visit Governor House Karachi.

Karachi:Sindh Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Muhammad Ali Malkani on Thursday announced that the Pakistan's largest Livestock Expo-2025 from January 17 to 19 here at the Expo Center.

This landmark event will celebrate Pakistan's rich cultural heritage in livestock, showcases advancements in the sector, and emphasizes sustainability in agriculture.

Addressing a press conference at the Sindh Assembly, Minister Malkani stated that the Expo was a groundbreaking initiative that will unite stakeholders from across the country, including representatives from Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed that the Expo, hosted by Sindh, is a testament to the government's commitment to enhancing the livestock industry and supporting local farmers, breeders, and industry professionals.

The Livestock Expo 2025 will feature an extensive array of activities, including livestock exhibitions, technical seminars, and research presentations by experts. Attendees will witness a diverse showcase of livestock breeds such as Kundhi and Neeli Ravi buffaloes, Red Sindhi, Thari, and Sahiwal cattle, along with crossbreeds, sheep, goats, exotic pets, and camel dances. The event aims to provide stakeholders with insights into modern practices and innovative approaches to livestock production and sustainability.

The event will also highlight the collaborative efforts of various provincial departments, including the Agriculture and Prices Bureau, Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, and Sports and Youth Affairs, to ensure a well-rounded experience. Traditional games such as Malh Malakhra and Kabaddi will add a cultural flair, while musical evenings featuring prominent artists like Sanam Marvi, Deeba Sahar, Ahmed Mughal, and Reshma Parveen will celebrate Sindh's vibrant heritage.

Minister Malkani further shared that a special session will focus on sustainability, addressing the challenges and opportunities in livestock management.

A grand animal and bird parade, 'The Cavalcade,' will serve as a key highlight, symbolizing the region's livestock legacy. The Expo will conclude with an awards ceremony to honor excellence in the livestock industry, recognizing individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions.

On the occasion, Sindh Culture Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, shared that musical evenings on all three days will be held, featuring renowned artists such as Sanam Marvi, Deeba Sahar, Ahmed Mughal, Reshma Parveen, and others.

Karachi:Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has announced that Friday will be observed as thanksgiving day to mark the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

Welcoming the truce and the release of hostages, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori stated that the agreement is a result of the immense sacrifices of thousands of Palestinians.

He emphasized that the real challenge lies in preventing Israel from continuing its occupation of Palestine and stressed the importance of allowing displaced Palestinians to return to their homes.

Governor Kamran Khan Tessori urged Muslim countries to assist Palestinians in resettlement efforts and reiterated that the core issue will remain unresolved until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Karachi:Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori met the parents of abducted child Sarim, hailing from New Karachi, at Governor House here.

During the meeting, Sarim's mother pleaded with the Governor, expressing hope in his efforts for her child's recovery, said a statement on Thursday.

The Governor Sindh immediately contacted IG Sindh Police, instructing him to ensure the safe recovery of Sarim at all costs.

He also reached out to the Chief of CPLC, directing them to utilize all available resources, including surveillance cameras, intelligence data, and other tools, to locate Sarim.

Assuring Sarim's mother, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori stated, "Rest assured, Sarim will be recovered soon, God willing." He further emphasized that every possible measure is being taken to ensure the child's safe return.

Karachi:The Regional Directorate Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Sindh in collaboration with Quaid e Azam Boys College and other schools, organised a Threatre performance themed "Nasha Adam Khor Hai" here at Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi on Thursday.

The aim of organising Theatre play was to raise awareness against drugs.

Students, teachers, artists and people from all walks of life unanimously called out the society to do more against drug abuse.

Speaking at the occasion, Commander ANF Sindh Brigadier Umar Farooq praised the performance and enthusiasm of students and teachers for arranging this performance and their valor against drug abuse.

Brigadier Umar Farooq called out social media as one of the cause for spreading drug abuse and providing easy access to drugs among youth. He urged parents to remove communication gap with their children and cautioned them to remain vigilant on social circle and activities of their children.

Despite limited resources ANF is leading front foot against drugs with running 5 drug rehabilitation hospitals in Sindh, therefore, society should come forward to aid ANF in fight against drugs, he continued.

President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Mohammad Ahmed Shah commended ANF and drama team for their enthusiasm against drug abuse.

He announced that ACP will bring street performances and songs on drug abuse. He urged society to do more against this menace which has claimed lives of many people and had ruined many homes.

According to the press release issued by the Bilawal House Media Cell, Chairman PPP, in his message, lauded Shaheed Fazil Rahoo's exceptional contributions to the Movement for the Restoration of Democracy (MRD) under the leadership of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. "Fazil Rahoo stood tall in the face of oppression and made the ultimate sacrifice for the rights of the downtrodden and the protection of democratic values," he added.
