Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation on Pakistan Day, paying tribute to the founders of Pakistan and the sacrifices of the martyrs.

In her message on Pakistan Day, the CM said that March 23 serves as a reminder of the golden objectives behind the creation of Pakistan. 'By the grace of Allah Almighty, Pakistan was established and will remain prosperous forever,' she said.

The chief minister highlighted Pakistan's unique honor as the first nuclear power in the Islamic world and stressed the importance of reaffirming commitment to the sanctity and security of the homeland on this day.

CM Maryam Nawaz urged the nation to uphold the golden principles of unity, faith, and discipline, calling Pakistan a divine blessing for all. 'On Pakistan Day, we pledge to reduce poverty, ensure social equality, and protect the underprivileged,' she added.

The CM reiterated her commitment to transforming Punjab into a progressive province in line with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other founding leaders of Pakistan. 'We vow to harness our full potential to place Pakistan among the world's developed nations,' she added.

The CM pledged to bring innovation in education, healthcare, and agriculture while making Punjab the engine of Pakistan's economy and a center of development.

Lahore: Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) celebrated the 85th Pakistan Day with a grand flag-hoisting ceremony at the CBD Punjab Complex, reaffirming its commitment to national progress and urban development.

The event was led by COO Brigadier (retd) Mansoor Janjua, alongside key executives, directors, senior staff, and ancillary employees.

In his message, CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin highlighted the significance of the day, stating, "Pakistan Day serves as a reminder of our nation's resilience and aspirations. It commemorates the historic Lahore Resolution, which laid the foundation for an independent Pakistan. At CBD Punjab, we remain steadfast in our mission to drive progress and redefine urban development for the country's growth."

Addressing the gathering, COO Brigadier (retd) Mansoor Janjua highlighted CBD Punjab's rapid strides in transforming urban landscapes. 'Pakistan Day is a testament to our unity and determination as a nation. CBD Punjab has emerged as a pioneering authority in sustainable urban development. Our landmark projects, including the Walton Road upgradation and Route 47, are shaping a progressive and modern Pakistan,' he stated.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials, including Executive Director Legal Barrister Bilal Afzal Khokhar, Executive Director Technical Riaz Hussain, Director Land and Estate Mutahir Mehmood Awan, Director Business Development Ali Waqar Shah, Director Marketing Waseem Siddiq, Director Procurement Jawad Ahmed, Director Finance Mansoor Saeed, and Director HR and IT Palwasha Mengal. Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has said that the separate homeland pledged on March 23, 1940, is now shining like a bright star on the world map.

In her message on the occasion of the 85th Pakistan Day, observed on Sunday, she emphasised that the Muslim League created Pakistan, and it is the Muslim League that is shaping it. Under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, she said, the Pakistan envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal is achieving milestones in development.

'Pakistan Day represents a new vision, new determination, and renewed passion. March 23 reminds us of our identity as a unique and great nation,' she added.

Highlighting Pakistan's strength, she stated that Pakistan is the only nuclear power in the Islamic world, holding a distinct and unparalleled identity. She affirmed that Pakistan was created to progress, and it will continue to do so. Despite internal and external conspiracies, the nation is moving towards prosperity.

Azma Bokhari also paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their invaluable services in ensuring national security and defense. She acknowledged the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland, calling them the pride of the nation.

'Our martyrs and veterans are our true heroes, and the entire nation takes immense pride in their sacrifices,' she concluded.

In his special message on Pakistan Day, he highlighted the unwavering commitment of the nation's forefathers that led to the creation of Pakistan within just seven years under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Commissioner Lahore stated, 'March 23, 1940, was a day of firm resolve. With sincerity and determination, our visionary leader and an aware, dedicated nation turned the dream of Pakistan into reality. No force can break the spirit of a determined people, and when courage and perseverance remain high, the goal is always achieved.'

He further underscored the sacrifices made by the forefathers of the nation in achieving independence. 'Our ancestors gave countless sacrifices for this homeland. Now, it is our responsibility to protect and develop Pakistan,' he asserted.

'For national progress and development, we must adopt sacrifice, selflessness, public service, patriotism, and a strong sense of responsibility as guiding principles in our lives,' he stated.

Professor Zafar further emphasized that great nations always remember their history and called for educating the younger generation about the contributions of our forefathers. He urged everyone to pledge their role in promoting unity, love, tolerance, and brotherhood in the country.

He also reminded that Pakistan Day is a tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Movement, whose sacrifices must not be forgotten. "With this same spirit, it is our foremost duty to eliminate racial, linguistic, and ethnic discrimination to build a strong and united Pakistan," he added.

Lahore: Punjab Minister for Health and Emergency Services Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that Pakistan Day is a golden chapter in the country's history, and even today, the spirit of the Pakistan Movement is needed for the development of the nation.

In his message on Pakistan Day, observed on Sunday, he paid tribute to the elders of the Muslim League who passed the Pakistan Resolution in 1940, stating that the same determination is required today to steer the country towards progress.

'Quaid PML-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif made Pakistan invincible by the grace of Allah Almighty. Today, we must pass a new resolution against terrorism, corruption, poverty, and unemployment,' he stated, urging leaders to set aside personal interests and work collectively for the nation's development. He also prayed for strength to follow in the footsteps of the great founders of Pakistan.

Highlighting ongoing efforts for public welfare, Salman Rafique said that the journey of serving the people is continuing under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He also praised the policies of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, stating that they saved Pakistan from default.

He further announced that Asia's largest Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research is being established in Lahore, along with state-of-the-art Nawaz Sharif Institutes of Cardiology in Lahore and Sargodha. Additionally, efforts are underway to improve government hospitals to ensure better healthcare facilities for the people.
