Peshawar:A ceremony was held here under the auspices of the Peshawar Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries (PCSTSI) to mark China’s 77th Founding Day.
The event emphasized importance of Pakistan-China friendship and underscored the need to further strengthen mutual economic cooperation and trade relations.
During the event, best wishes were conveyed to the Chinese people, and a cake was cut to celebrate the day.
A large number of participants attended, including Group Leader Malik Mehar Elahi, President Malik Inam-ur-Rehman, Senior Vice President Haji Amjad Khan, Vice President Hashim Khan, executive members, Tanzeem-e-Tajiran spokesperson Shahzad Ahmed Siddiqui, and leaders of the business community.
Participants chanted slogans including “Long live Pakistan-China friendship” and reiterated their commitment to expanding economic and trade cooperation between the two brotherly nations down to the grassroots level.
Addressing the gathering, speakers remarked that the friendship between Pakistan and China is not limited to mere diplomatic ties but is a robust bond rooted in mutual trust, brotherhood, and shared progress.
They emphasized that Pakistani industrial sectors specifically the industrial and commercial sectors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa needs to fully leverage the lessons learned from China’s unprecedented development in industry, technology, and infrastructure.
The speakers noted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa possesses immense potential regarding natural resources, minerals, and agriculture; if the local business community is provided with modern infrastructure, business-friendly policies, and a conducive investment environment, the province could emerge as a key commercial hub for the region.
They urged for practical measures regarding joint investments with China, industrial cooperation, the promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and the transfer of modern technology to create new employment opportunities at the local level.
