Bahawalpur: Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Professor Dr Muhammad Kamran inaugurated a water purification plant in Moza Kilanchwala, a suburban locality on the outskirts of Bahawalpur city.
Speaking on the occasion, the vice chancellor appreciated the cooperation extended by Al- Mustafa Welfare Trust in the installation of the plant, undertaken in collaboration with the Department of Social Work and the Directorate of Student Affairs, Islamia University of Bahawalpur, and remarked that community development is an integral responsibility of the university, which it continues to fulfill through partnership with like-minded organizations.
The event was also attended by representatives of Al Mustafa Welfare Trust, Nusrat Saleem and Muhammad Arham Saleem and experts including Professor Dr Asif Naveed Ranjha, Chairman of the Department of Social Work and Director of Student Affairs, Aijaz Fakih, and Baqa-ul Mohsin, Secretary of the IUB Alumni Association Network and Dr Shahzad Ahmad Khalid, Director Public Relations .
On the occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, its Department of Social Work, and Al Mustafa Welfare Trust to extend their existing cooperation on the provision of water and other facilities at the Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus, paving the way for further collaboration and enhanced facilities for students.
