Collective efforts needed for Pakistan’s progress, prosperity: Dr Tariq


Islamabad: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Tuesday called for collective efforts to ensure the speedy progress and prosperity of Pakistan.



Speaking to a private television channel, the minister said that following the 18th Constitutional Amendment,



the responsibility for improving the health and education sectors rested with the provincial governments.



Responding to a question, he stressed the need to develop an effective mechanism to prevent the wastage of water in the country.



Commenting on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, he said all necessary facilities were being provided to him in accordance with the jail manual.



Regarding the creation of new provinces, he said the debate should be held at proper constitutional and political forums.
