Dera ismail khan: The Tank police have arrested three suspects and recovered two stolen motorcycles, a rickshaw and a mobile phone in separate operations, besides safely tracing a woman who had been reported missing.
According to a police spokesman, City Police Station SHO Samiullah Khan and his team recovered a CD-70 motorcycle that had been stolen from Station Road on August 8. The motorcycle was recovered near the old police lines and, after completion of the required legal formalities, was handed over to its owner.
In another operation, the police recovered a rickshaw stolen from Mohalla Elahiabad on Aug 31 from the Pir Kacha Arziyat area and returned it to its owner after completing the required procedure.
The police also traced Nadia Bibi, who had been missing since Aug 21, to the Danta area of Dera Ismail Khan Cantonment through sustained search and investigation. She was safely reunited with her family after completion of legal formalities.
Meanwhile, Shaheed Murid Akbar police station SHO Taous Khan, under the supervision of DSP Sharifullah Khan Kundi, arrested three suspects in FIR No. 68/26 registered under sections 34 and 382 of the Pakistan Penal Code. A stolen motorcycle and a mobile phone were recovered from their possession.
DPO Abdul Samad Khan appreciated the police teams for their performance, saying, the protection of citizens’ lives and property, recovery of stolen property and safe recovery of missing persons were among the force’s top priorities.
He said Tank police would continue operations against criminals to ensure a safe environment for the people.
