FAISALABAD:Commissioner Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh has said that protection of human lives alongside preserving trees is a key responsibility of the divisional administration.
In this regard, a decision has been taken for trimming of the branches of leaning trees along canal road that pose a risk to human safety; however, no trees will be cut down during the campaign.
Chairing a meeting held here on Thursday, the Commissioner also constituted a committee for proper care of the trees and monitoring of trimming of branches and transplantation of trees.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Noman Siddique, Additional Commissioner (Coordination) Qaiser Abbas Rand, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Usman Ghani, Managing Director, Parks and Horticulture Agency Dilawar Khan, and other officers attended the meeting.
