Abbottabad: Commissioner Hazara Division Fayyaz Ali Shah on Friday inaugurated a newly constructed monument at Fawara Chowk, marking another step in the district administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance the city’s beauty and strengthen its identity as a tourist destination.
The monument, developed by the District Administration Abbottabad, has been installed at one of the city’s main entry points to create a more attractive and welcoming environment for tourists, visitors, and residents.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Commissioner Fayyaz Ali Shah said that beautification and development projects not only improve the city’s appearance but also contribute significantly to the promotion of tourism and create a positive first impression for those arriving in Abbottabad.
Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram, District Reconciliation Committee (DRC) Chairman Ayaz Saleem Rana, Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad Afrasiab Zubair Handal, TMA Abbottabad TOR Abid Khan, other government officials, and members of civil society attended the ceremony.
According to the district administration, work on various development and beautification initiatives is continuing across Abbottabad to improve public facilities, enhance the city’s tourism profile, and further establish it as a clean, modern, and attractive destination.
