Commissioner inspects development work at Khayyam Chowk Flyover

Sargodha: Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Wednesday inspected ongoing development work at



Khayyam Chowk Flyover and reviewed the pace and quality of construction, traffic management and difficulties being faced by citizens.



SE Highways Kamran Ikram, Assistant Commissioner Sargodha Ahmad Sher Gondal and Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Ahmad Bilal Makhdoom were present on the occasion.



The concerned officers briefed the Commissioner on the ongoing work and progress achieved so far.



Hafiz Shaukat Ali directed that development work on the flyover be completed at an accelerated pace within the stipulated timeline, without compromising construction quality.



He said the basic objective of development projects was to provide citizens with better, safer and convenient travelling facilities. He directed the concerned departments to ensure smooth traffic flow during construction and minimise inconvenience to commuters.



The Commissioner also directed officials to pay special attention to cleanliness, road restoration, traffic management, drainage and other essential civic facilities alongside the construction work.



He sought a progress report from the concerned officers and directed continuous monitoring of the project.



Hafiz Shaukat Ali said ongoing development projects in Sargodha city were aimed at improving urban infrastructure and providing modern civic facilities to citizens.



He added that progress and quality of development schemes would continue to be closely monitored with public welfare and improved civic services in view.
