Lahore: Commissioner Marryam Khan conducted a detailed visit to the new and old emergency wards of Ganga Ram Hospital, reviewing medical care and sanitation facilities in line with a prescribed checklist.
The visit was carried out under the directives of the Chief Minister Punjab for regular monitoring of public health facilities and comprehensive cleanliness operations. Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza was also present.
During the visit, Medical Superintendent and senior doctors of Ganga Ram Hospital briefed the Commissioner on ongoing medical services and operational protocols. Special attention was paid to patient care procedures, information counters, and restroom facilities.
Commissioner Lahore directed the hospital administration to prominently display ‘Free Medicines Available’ in bold Urdu and English outside the hospital pharmacy. She emphasized improving cleanliness standards, particularly in restrooms, and instructed that information and facilitation counters be fully staffed to guide patients efficiently. She also highlighted the importance of clear duty rosters and proper queue management outside the pharmacy.
The Commissioner said that, under the Chief Minister’s instructions, public health facilities across Lahore Division are undergoing continuous monitoring for medical care and comprehensive sanitation operations. Deep cleaning and maintenance are being carried out both inside and outside hospital premises. She added that providing citizens with the best health and treatment facilities remains the Chief Minister Punjab’s top priority.
