Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak reviewed progress on the ongoing grand anti-encroachment operation in the city and directed the concerned officers to ensure effective implementation of the drive.
The Commissioner directed the departments concerned to continue action against encroachments and ensure removal of illegal structures and obstructions from roads, footpaths and other public spaces.
He stressed that the operation should be carried out in accordance with the law and that public convenience should remain a priority during the campaign.
The officers concerned briefed the meeting about progress made so far and ongoing measures to improve traffic flow and restore public spaces.
The Commissioner directed the field teams to maintain regular monitoring and take action against fresh encroachments to prevent their re-emergence.
