Bahawalpur Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Irfan Ali Kathia and Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hasan Raza visited the Southern Bypass project and reviewed ongoing development and construction work.
During the visit, the Commissioner received a briefing from SE Highways Rao Dilshad Ahmad Khan on the progress of the project, various stages of construction and other related matters. The briefing revealed that the Southern Bypass project extends 24.66 kilometres from Hasilpur Road to National Highway N-5. The project aims to rehabilitate and improve the Southern Bypass and significantly enhance travelling facilities for citizens. The project includes road rehabilitation, which will have an overall width of 44 feet after completion.
Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia directed the concerned officers to ensure completion of the project within the stipulated timeframe. He stressed that high-quality construction materials must be used and all approved construction standards strictly followed. He also directed the authorities to continuously monitor the pace and quality of construction, emphasizing that timely completion of the development project must be ensured without compromising on quality.
