Kohat District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat, Rai Mazhar Iqbal here on Thursday held open court and interacted with citizens to address their issues.
He listened to complaints of citizens and issued on the spot directives to resolve them. He directed officials to ensure immediate action on public complaints strictly in accordance with merit and the law.
He said that provision of timely justice, prompt resolution of citizens’ issues and maintaining direct contact with the public were among the top priorities of Kohat Police.
Later, he met with young son of martyred Superintendent of Police (SP) Traffic, Akbar Shinwari and condoled the death of his father who sacrificed his life in the life of duty. He also assured the martyr’s family that Kohat Police would continue to stand with families of martyrs in every difficult situation and extend them possible support and assistance.
DPO paid tribute to the sacrifices rendered by martyred police personnel, saying their bravery and dedication remained a guiding light for the police force. He added that the families of martyrs deserved the highest respect and that the police department shared their grief and sacrifices.
