Kohat: A police constable, who was critically injured in the tragic blast at the Kohat Police Lines Mosque, succumbed in the hospital, police officials said on Saturday.
The funeral prayer for the martyred constable, Saifur Ali, was offered at Police Club and attended by District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat, Rai Mazhar Iqbal, senior police officers, personnel, families of police martyrs and a large number of citizens.
A smartly turned out police contingent presented a guard of honor to the martyr and police officers laid floral wreaths, paying rich tributes to Constable Saifur Ali for his sacrifice in the line of duty.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Kohat expressed profound grief and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and assured them of full support.
Constable Saifur Ali sustained serious injuries in the Police Lines Mosque blast and was under treatment in the hospital.
