Peshawar: Minister for Communications and Works Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shakeel Ahmed Khan has said that effective steps are being taken to improve departmental performance and ensure timely redressal of public complaints.
As part of these measures reforms, he said that employees who had been stationed at the same place for over three years would be immediately transferred.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of the contractors association from the merged districts on Tuesday.
Moreover, he added that a special cell has been set up in his office for the swift resolution of public complaints.
He added that people could lodge their complaints through a phone so that prompt action could be taken in this regard.
He assured that he would personally supervise the cell to guarantee the timely and effective resolution of complaints.
He also said that on the instructions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, a three-member committee has also been established in the province whe
re the public can register their issues and complaints.
During the meeting, they discussed issues faced by the contractors.
The President of the Contractors Association, Zahir Jan, General Secretary Laiq Marjan, and other officials were also present on the occasion.
The provincial minister assured that every possible step would be taken to resolve the issues faced by the contractors.
The association thanked the provincial minister and assured their full cooperation.
