Islamabad: Secretary General of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari on Wednesday said the country could not afford violence, arson and disorder, stressing that no one could be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
In a statement, he said neither anyone could secure the release of a person through force or coercion nor could prisons be broken into.
‘Everyone cannot simply march on the capital whenever they wish,’ he said, adding that such a situation was not acceptable.
Nayyer Bukhari said if the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) wanted relief, it would have to seek it from the judiciary.
He said the PTI acknowledged the judiciary when its decisions provided relief, but when a verdict went against it, the party launched a confrontation with the judiciary.
Nayyer Bukhari said the PTI did not have a unified stance and remained divided into different factions.
He said the PTI’s conduct and approach in the past had also been ‘unpolitical.’
Referring to the party’s previous attempts to mobilize people, he said that despite the use of all available resources and governmental powers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it had failed to bring out even one million people.
‘Bringing out four million people is not an easy task,’ he said.
Nayyer Bukhari said not inviting people from Punjab was merely an attempt to save face.
