CPWB chairperson stresses equal opportunities for special children

Lahore: Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Punjab and MPA Sarah Ahmad visited the Deaf Reach School and Training Centre here on Tuesday and reviewed the educational, training and support facilities being provided to special children.



Deaf Reach Operations Director and Company Secretary Daniel Mark Lenthier received the chairperson and briefed her in detail about the Deaf Reach Foundation’s projects, objectives and various programmes.



Chairperson Sarah Ahmad visited different sections of the Deaf Reach School and Centre and reviewed the facilities available for the education, training and welfare of children. She said that coordinated efforts among all relevant institutions were essential to provide quality education, protection and a conducive environment to special children.



The chairperson said that effective measures were being taken for the education, training and welfare of children under the care of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau.



She stressed the need to highlight the abilities of special children and provide them equal opportunities to enable them to become empowered and active members of society.



During the visit, Sarah Ahmad met children studying at the Deaf Reach School and interacted with them about their educational and training activities.



She also met children residing at the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau and inquired about their educational progress, encouraging them to continue their efforts.



Sarah Ahmad appreciated the educational and training facilities and supportive environment being provided to special children at Deaf Reach.



She also lauded the initiatives of Deaf Reach for the protection, education, training and welfare



of special children.
