Gujrat The district administration conducted a joint inspection of vehicles on Thursday to stop air pollution caused by smoke and unfit vehicles across the district.
According to a spokesperson, on the directions of Assistant Commissioner Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon, teams from the Environment Protection Department, Regional Transport Authority (RTA), and Traffic Police checked vehicles for smoke and proper fitness certificates.
The teams issued challans for minor violations, while one vehicle emitting heavy smoke without a valid certificate was impounded.
The administration stated that action against smoke-emitting vehicles will continue.
