MULTAN: City Traffic Police (CTP) on Wednesday issued a traffic plan regarding 12 Rabbi-ul-Awal (Eid-Milad-un-Nabi), and the masses were urged to cooperate with traffic police.
Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Naeem Shahid said that there would be no permission to include common traffic in processions and rallies.
The Ghanta Ghar Chowk, Hussain Agahi, Doulat Gate, Dehli Gate, Pak Gate, Haram Gate, Chowk Shaheedan, Shaheen Market, Bohar Gate, and Dera Adda Chowk would remain closed for all traffic on 12 Rabbi-ul-Awal.
Traffic wardens have been deployed at all important points while forklifts have been deployed to eliminate wrong parking.
The CTO has directed traffic wardens to perform their duties at duty point diligently, inform the citizens of alternate routes, and treat them politely.’
The wardens were asked to ensure the parking of vehicles at fixed rates. The masses were also urged to use alternative routes and follow traffic rules in order to make the journey safer.
