Bahawalpur:A delegation from Dawat-e-Islami Bahawalpur met with Deputy Commissioner Zaheer Anwar Jappa at his office.
The delegation provided a briefing on the tree plantation campaign initiated by the organization.
The delegation included Punjab Shura member Haji Muhammad Aslam, Divisional Supervisor Dr. Hafiz Abdul Rauf Attari, Qari Muhammad Iqbal, Divisional Forest Officer Khalid Javed Bhatti, and Environmental Inspector Waheed Murad Lashari.
After the meeting, the DC planted a sapling of ‘Arjun’ in the office’s green space.
The deputy commissioner highlighted that tree planting can help mitigate the adverse effects of climate change.
He noted that plants contribute to a lush and vibrant environment and appreciated Dawat-e-Islami’s efforts in the tree plantation initiative.
