Faisalabad: Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Numan Siddique inaugurated the Marka-e-Haq Forest Park-II here on Friday.
He also formally launched the tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling in the park.
Marka-e-Haq park-II has been established on an area of three acres where more than 3,000 saplings have been planted.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the forest park would play an important role in providing a healthy, clean and green environment to the citizens.
He said that trees and green areas play an important role in eliminating environmental pollution and improving the quality of life of the citizens.
The Deputy Commissioner said that practical steps would be taken for tree plantation and environmental improvement in the district and the citizens should also be encouraged to plant more and more saplings and take care of them.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Anwar Ali, Assistant Commissioner (Saddar) Dr. Zulqarnain and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
